When I hold a marble, I think of childhood—pockets that clinked, sunlight caught in glass, small worlds that turn quietly in the hand. This piece grows from that memory: a simple marble given a home in silver. For me, it’s more than a design; it’s a small capsule of memory, holding fragments from years ago.
Each pendant is hand-fabricated in sterling silver at my bench. Straight strips are bent, soldered, and shaped into a soft oval that meets like an open capsule. The glass sits inside securely and can be seen from every angle. I leave the metal with a gentle, matte finish so the color of the marble can breathe. Nothing is hidden—the structure is the design.
It’s also a quiet fidget for busy days. You can roll the marble and feel the soft tap of glass against metal. Every color has its own mood—candy red, honey yellow, ocean blue, or a bright swirl—and the silver simply holds the light. Many of us kept small, quiet collections as kids; mine were marbles and stones. Maybe you did too.
Wear it close on a simple sterling silver chain. The default chain is 55 cm with a 5 cm extender (about 21.7" + 2"); I’m happy to adjust the length if you need. Please avoid harsh chemicals and hard knocks; a quick rinse and a soft cloth will keep the surface calm and clear.
Some pieces have already found new homes. I’m glad they’ve moved on, and the small marks will keep a quiet story wherever they go.
