Hello, everyone.
It's been a while since I last connected with you here on my website, and I realized that I've never shown you what my workspace looks like. Today, I am delighted to share a glimpse into my home studio, the place where I spend most of my time every day and find so much joy in my work.
Located in my basement, this studio is where I create my art jewelry and other handmade pieces, surrounded by the tools and equipment that bring my vision to life.
My main workbench is the heart of my studio, where I do most of my delicate work with tools neatly organized on a pegboard above. I try to keep everything within easy reach, making my workflow smoother and more efficient.
Nearby, my metal forming station has a rolling mill, various hammers, and metal forming tools. This is where I do my best to shape and texture metals to create unique pieces.
Between the main workbench and the polishing area is my soldering area, where I anneal and solder metal as carefully as I can.
The polishing and finishing area also serves as an extended workbench, which is higher than the main one. I find it useful for beadwork or wire work. The plastic boxes there hold my collection of stone beads.
I believe a clutter-free space enhances creativity, so I have a dedicated area for storage and organization, keeping my materials, tools, and finished pieces in their proper places. While I strive to maintain an organized studio, it sometimes becomes a bit messy, but I feel comfortable with this being a part of the creative process.
Even when there's nothing specific to work on, I love spending time in my studio. Although it doesn't get much natural light, I make the most of a high window that brightens the room and nourishes my indoor plants. The presence of my dog, napping at my feet while I organize my stone collections or clean my tools, adds to the comforting atmosphere. This space is my sanctuary where creativity flows freely.
I hope you enjoyed this tour of my home studio. Stay tuned for more updates on my latest projects and creations. In my next blog, I'll be sharing my stone and mineral collections with you.
Thank you for visiting!
